Hey Matt

There seems to be a lot of questions that people are asking about our country now that the war is over.
Such as why have we not found any WMD and why did we have to spend all this money on a war that seems not to have any benefit to us (the USA). And the big, one why does the USA have to be the worlds policeman.

I think I can help answer some of these questions.

First the war is really not over conflicts continue in Afghanistan and Iraq these could take years of US presence to bring things in order. As for the WMD I feel that some of these things were moved out of Iraq maybe to Russia, Syria, or France. What could not be moved was hidden very well, they did know we were coming and had 12 years to hide things. And now why did we spend all this money? Well I fell that these conflicts were kind of like buying a house, you buy your house with hope that someday it will be a good investment I think that President Bush feels the same way here. He would rather invest now in the future of America than pay a higher price down the road. One father told me he wanted his children to have a better life than what he has, as we all do as parents.

But on 9/11 when the terrorist flew those planes into the buildings everything changed life as we knew it changed. And life as we knew it as children is gone, snuffed out by the work of a few fanatics. Now as parents we must worry about our kids going to the mall and weather some savage is going to set off a bomb or release chemicals because he does not like America.

So I as an American am willing to pay the cost now and give my President my full support now and not later. As for the USA being the worlds policeman well we are the worlds only remaining superpower and we are like the big brother sometimes it may piss us off that we have to help people who would think nothing of killing us but want our help but remember we are Americans we are the kindest and most generous people on earth so that's why we do what we do. Hopefully this helps some people understand if not well I tried
